TEAMS
Two teams with 1 to 2 players in each team
HOW TO START THE GAME
The balls are racked as illustrated below with the 8 ball (black) on the ‘black spot’
The opening player plays from any position on or within the baulk line area.
From the break if a player pots one or more balls from both colours, they must nominate their chosen colour before continuing to play
If a player pockets the 8 ball (black) from the break they win the game and a new game is started
FOULS.
Cue ball (white) pocketed at any time
Hitting opponent’s balls before his/her own ball or balls (except after a foul)
Failing to hit any ball with the cue (white) ball.
Any ball off the table.
If a player’s clothing or body should touch any ball.
Player not having at least one foot on the floor.
PENALTY FOLLOWING A FOUL
Following any foul the oncoming player may play the cue ball from where it lies or move the cue ball to the baulk area and then play in any direction
Two shot carry rule – player receives an extra shot – first shot can play either their or their opponents colour – if the ball is potted the extra shot carries until they miss. (Can only play the opponents colour on the first shot)
One or Two shots on the black? The age old debate we will let you decide on this one
OVERALL WINNER
The player pocketing their group of coloured balls first in any order and then legally potting the 8 ball (black), wins the game.
Killer
TEAMS
Enter the names of all individual players and choose to play with either 3 or 5 lives
HOW TO PLAY
Players take turns trying to pot any ball of any colour (including the black ball)
The opening player breaks off from any position on or within the baulk line area (balls can be racked in any position players choose)
If the opening player pots from the break play passes to the next player. If no ball is potted from the break the opening player gets one extra go without losing a life
SCORING
Should no ball be potted or a ‘foul’ committed that player loses 1 life.
OVERALL WINNER
Each player is eliminated when all their lives are lost until a winner is announced.
Sudden death – If two players are left with 1 life each both players must play equal number of shots until one player is the winner. If first player loses a life and the 2nd player also loses a life play continues until after equal shots there is a winner!
